I’m so glad you’re here.

Next Generation Counseling exists to help us break generational cycles. The messages we are sent as children greatly impact the way we think, how we view ourselves and others, and how our nervous system responds to stress.

I specifically specialize in the pattern of people pleasing and perfectionism that is created when we constantly receive the message (directly or indirectly) that we need to be a certain way to be “good enough” for love. Excelling academically, being “responsible” (aka carrying shit that wasn’t ours), and being the good kid (not burdening others with our feelings, which weren’t welcome or validated) was the way we adapted.

Now, we find ourselves being high performers. We are driven. Many of us are problem solvers and helpers. Sometimes though, that also comes with crushing anxiety, low self worth, poor boundaries, resentment, and trouble in relationships.

Through my work I want to help people get out from under the weight of others’ expectations, set boundaries, and give their emotions permission to take up space in this world. I want to help you have healthy relationships and stop taking responsibility for what isn’t yours. You’ve always tried so hard to be who everyone else wants you to be. Now it’s time to learn who you are and what you need.

I strive to make therapy convenient and accessible.

I specifically chose an office space easily accessible to many different areas. You will find me centrally located in the upstate, less than a mile from I-85 on Pelham Road in Greenville. I provide therapy during the afternoon and evening to accommodate those who work during normal business hours while also being mindful of healthcare workers who work 12 hour shifts (7-7).

My clients have found my office space to be:

  • Comfortable
  • Peaceful
  • Safe
  • Professional
  • Relaxing
  • Quiet

We can even meet virtually if you prefer!

In addition to in-person therapy, I also offer virtual therapy across the state of South Carolina.  Online therapy is ideal for those with busy schedules, those who travel frequently, college students who go back and forth between home and school during breaks and holidays, and moms. *

Online counseling has many benefits, including but not limited to:

  • Convenient
  • Saves travel time
  • Greater choice of therapists, since choice is based on skill or specialization rather than just location
  • Increased access to services for those living in rural areas
  • Transportation barriers are eliminated
  • Improves access for those with physical disabilities

I also provide supervision for Licensed Professional Counselor Associates in SC

If you are seeking clinical supervision for your Licensed Professional Counselor Associate hours, please contact me today.  I am a licensed supervisor and can provide supervision services across the state of South Carolina.

I REALLY love what I do.  I have evolved so much as a human and as a therapist over the years, and I want to bring my expertise into the supervision process to support you in your growth journey as well.

Supervision is not just about checking off hours but about really honing your craft.  I would love to help you with that.  To learn more about supervision services, click here.

*Unfortunately, licensing regulations limit us to providing online counseling to people physically present in the state of SC at this time. There is current legislation happening (tick…tock…) to help eliminate these barriers. Stay tuned.
